ARRK Sustainability Consulting Department has its roots in ARRK Engineering, a division of the international Mitsui Group.
Since 2002, ARRK Engineering has developed expertise in compliance and sustainability issues, particularly within the automotive engineering sector. By assisting OEMs and their suppliers in meeting legal requirements for material compliance, we have accumulated extensive knowledge in navigating compliance laws and directives, including REACh, RoHS, ELV, GADSL, and Battery Regulations, all while promoting sustainable product development and production.
Additionally, we have cultivated long-term expertise in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040/44, which systematically analyze the potential environmental impacts of a product or service throughout its entire life cycle.
Our parent company, Mitsui Chemicals Inc., a global producer of high-quality chemicals and raw materials, has long been committed to sustainability and the principles of a circular economy, aligning with their vision statement: "Chemistry for a sustainable world."
With this strong foundation, we established our Sustainability Consulting Services. Since May 2022, we have expanded our team with certified experts who bring extensive experience in corporate sustainability consulting, allowing us to make a significant impact in supporting companies through their sustainable transformations.
ARRK Engineering is known as a globally active development partner for the automotive and mobility industry, specializing in end-to-end and comprehensive support of the entire product development process - from the concept phase through series development to validation and system integration of mechanical and electronic components. Furthermore we accompany our customers by marginal topics like ensuring the homologation of their vehicle by fulfilling requirements for functional or compliance issues, e.g. for legal sustainability directives.
We rely on the long-standing, interdisciplinary expertise of our over 1,800 employees at locations in Germany, Romania, the Netherlands, Malaysia, USA, Spain, Japan and China. Around 800 of them are working in ARRK Engineering´s headquarter in Munich, Germany.
